Hatsune Miku and her gang have made a return overseas with a whole new set of music, dancing and costumes. This fast paced, colorful rhythm game brings back the charm rhythm games used to have before Dance Dance Revolution, Gutiar Hero and Rock Band standardized rhythm games in their heyday. We get a lot of zombie related media to the point where the zombie as ac concept has become boring. There are somethings that can do the zombie well and House of the Dead: Overkill is one game that does and can make it fun at the same time. As a parody of the series Overkill has turned the series from laughably bad to laughably fun. Originally on the Wii the game has been re-released several times on most platforms on at least something you would own.
It’s time to get a Life. Fantasy Life is brand new RPG from Level 5 where you can fight dragons, save the world and build a table. It’s a mix of Animal Crossing and Rune Factory with its own unique charm. What will happen in your Life?
Resistance: Fall of Man was a flagship title for the PS3 during its launch. It was a new IP meant to show off the power of the console. The game use old PC FPS mechanics channeled Ratchet and Clanks unique weapons and interrelated them into the game. Resistance 2 was a misstep, adopting modern FPS conventions and didn’t do much to stand out anymore. Resistance 3 went back to its roots and built up making it the strongest of the trilogy. Even though it the end Resistance 3 is the best one and catches you up with the main events of the series and does more than both of them did.
Nintendo in its need to innovate has been promoting their Amiibo figurines for the past couple of months. Amiibo are miniature statues that can unlock content and interact with games on the Wii U and the New Nintendo 3DS (currently out only in Japan and Australia). It’s similar to the Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures but instead of unlocking characters it unlocks additional features on multiple games.
