The first Humble Monthly Bundle has finally been released and the games list is confirmed as:
Saints Row IV
SanctuaryRPG: Black Edtion
Legend of Grimrock 2
So for $12 a month Humble Monthly will grant you a specifically chosen selection of seven games, though I don’t know if the amount of games is set and Legend of Grimrock 2 was an incentive for subscribing. The bundle is composed of popular and/or well received games in their respective genres. The age, visual styles and target audience vary wildly and good chance that not everything will be your cup of tea.
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these but since Paris Game Week just past, now was a good time for new trailers.
Shadow of the Beast looks like God of War with aliens. It looks to be a 2D sidescroller beat-em-up with a brutal looking main character and a ton of violence. We’ll see how this turns out. Continue reading →
Since it is Halloween week, let’s talk about a recently released horror game that you may not know about. Corpse Party: Blood Drive came out of nowhere with seemingly no marketing behind it. The first two Corpse Party games were localized on the PSP and now Blood Drive is out close the chapter of Heavenly Host.
Look who’s back. Arguably the most annoying character to fight against, Dhalsim is back with a whole new bag of tricks and rocking a wicked beard. On top of his long limbs and teleports, Dhalsim has new Yoga Fire traps. One is an arcing ball of fire, another is a his Yoga Flame that launches from the ground and can be used in the air and what seems to be is V-Skill is a flame carpet that unblockable but deals no hit stun either. He also has a phasing move that looks like his teleport stance. He can delay is movements in the air and even shift himself. Characters who could change trajectory in the air always throws people off. Dhalsim looks like he’ll be a monster in Street Fighter V and maybe even fun to play for once.
Ubisoft is an interesting developer. They are one of the most hit or miss triple A developers and their failures often overshadows the great games they produce. Far Cry is one of their triple A titles that hasn’t been run into the ground nor has it over promised and under delivered. It has been nearly a year since it was released and is a cheaper title to get but is Far Cry 4 something worth adding to your collection?
It has been a better part of a year since we’ve met Max, Chloe and the residents of Arcadia bay. For Max, this has been the longest week of her life. Life is Strange – Episode 5: Polarized will be the end to this story. How it ends and how you get there will be to you.
Humble Bundle has come a long way from the indie bundles. They expanded to books and mobiles and even to Triple A publishers. Their newest endeavor is Humble Monthly, a subscription service featuring a handpicked collection of games by their staff. The games are kept secret until release and the monthly subscription is $12/month with the first bundle released November 6th.
It seems like the Investigation Team can’t catch a break. They solved a supernatural murder investigation, fought in two fighting tournaments and where even sent back in time. Now in Persona 4: Dancing All Night they find themselves defeating evil with the power of song and dance. Is this rhythm game a good look for Persona?
So far two Hatsune Miku game to be localized outside of Japan and they have been helping diversify and revitalize the rhythm game genre. Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is the newest title to be localized and will have a new look and gameplay from its PlayStation titles. Do these changes mean that the game won’t be as good as Project DIVA?
