As stated this is the first Nintendo Direct since the passing of Satoru Iwata President and CEO of Nintendo. This Nintendo Direct marks off the end of this year and the first half of next year with a strong and health lineup of new games, sequels, remakes, amiibos and surprises. Love them or hate them, there’s something here for everyone.
So far two Hatsune Miku game to be localized outside of Japan and they have been helping diversify and revitalize the rhythm game genre. Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is the newest title to be localized and will have a new look and gameplay from its PlayStation titles. Do these changes mean that the game won’t be as good as Project DIVA?
Oh boy, it’s back baby. Fallout 4 isn’t the biggest surprise ever but we always want confirmation. We see glimpses of the past before the bombs dropped, the protagonist speaks and there’s a dog again. These are only speculations of what the game might feature but we can imagine that this post-apocalyptic future that’s stuck in the 1950’s will maintain the witty writing and humor that the series if famous for.
Ubisoft certainly knows how to make each Assassin’s Creed trailer look awesome. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate takes place during the Industrial Revolution in 19th century London. It is said that this is the first game to feature a female main character with the two main characters being twins. Of course the trailer doesn’t really show this but baby steps right? I’ve been pretty quite on the blog with updates. I’ve been busy and with the Easter holiday just past I haven’t been able to write all that much lately. I have been playing a lot though. It’s been a long while since I’ve done a review round up but lets take a quick look at Box Boy, Never Alone, Woah Dave and Pokemon Shuffle.
Nintendo released a step by step video for the launch of the New Nintendo 3DS and how to transfer your old system data between systems. This video is a bit misleading because it makes it seem that this is the only way to transfer your old data. You will ONLY have to open the new system to access the Micro SD hard if the original SD card (or data in it) is larger than the 4 GB micro SD card in the New 3DS. This can be done wirelessly between the two consoles but it does take a while.
Well this game took a long time to come overseas. News of this bizarre crossover began in 2010 when it was announced. It was finally released in Japan in 2012 and fans of both series bellowed to have it localized. In a common move by both companies, Capcom and Nintendo were initially hesitant for localization of the game due to the risk of low sales. Two years after its initial Japanese release and 5 months before the North American release, Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was finally localized. Fans overseas can finally enjoy the puzzle solving finger-pointing adventure.
I play a lot of video games and I have the bad habit of buying more games before finishing the ones I have. I decided to take a honest look at my uncompleted collection and had to shake my head a bit. One of my new year’s resolutions is to finish as many of these games as I can and try not to be so distracted by trophy hunting.
For those of you curious of what games these might be I’ve compiled some lists.
