Ratchet & Clank has been in a weird limbo for a few years now. A Crack in Time was intended to be the final chapter in the duo’s story but we kept on getting games. All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault were spin-off games, Into the Nexus was a shorter game that felt more like an epilogue than a full game and they have been in cameos and characters in several other games. To help promote the upcoming movie at the end of April, the original Ratchet & Clank has been remade and it is the team’s first game on the PlayStation 4. With a few changes to the game’s plot and structure, does Ratchet & Clank stand tall in this next generation of gaming?
Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series decided to spread his horror wing to more games. He’s worked on other horror games other than Resident Evil before but none as visually disturbing as The Evil Within. Channeling the feel of Resident Evil 4, The Evil Within aims to be a scarier and more serious kind of horror experience. Does Shinji Mikami and Tango Gameworks have what it takes to make a truly terrifying experience?
Since I happen to buy and review Infamous Second Son and while the standalone expansion is free the same month I’ve decided to review Infamous First Light. First Light focuses on Fetch and her past briefly mentioned in Second Son. Does Fetch’s neon filled adventure shine a new light to this franchise?
The great yet overlooked Devil May Cry Reboot is having a second chances on the next-gen consoles. DmC Definitive Edition will come with all the DLC from the game plus several new modes and gameplay adjustments.
At the end of the trailer there was a brief announcement of Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Not much was shown other than the title but Vergil was the one to make the announcement. This will probably be reminiscent of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition where Vergil was added as a new playable character.
Exciting stuff for Devil May Cry fans and great action games for gamers looking for alternative game on their consoles that aren’t shooters. DmC Definitive edition is set for release March 17, 2015 and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is slated for Summer 2015.
Our favorite Sarah Palin look-alike makes her triumphant return as a Wii U exclusive. The over-the-top action brawler with one of most unique characters from the last generations is ready to take down even more angels and demons. Is was the long wait worth it?.
The popular Nickelodeon show Legend of Korra, the sequel series to Avatar the Last Air Bender is finally getting a game. As a licensed game it has to face the stigma of being a licensed game plus try to live up to the series. Is Legend of Korra worthy of living up to the show?
It has been four years since the first game of the Castlevania Reboot was released. After a 3DS tie-in bridging the two games, we finally get answers to the first game’s final scenes. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow received lots of mixed opinions. There was little doubt in my mind that Lords of Shadow 2 would be mixed as well. Does the Lords of Shadows series still have any fangs?
It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a year since the first Tales of Xillia came overseas. It was considered by many (including myself) the best of the series and it was one that deserved a sequel. But we’ve been burned by a sequel before. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World wasn’t bad but was a major let down to many fans. Will Tales of Xillia 2 suffer the same fate?
Remember Me was a new IP from Capcom in 2013. It’s a cyberpunk game with that has an interesting spin on the action brawler genre. Probably overlooked for it being a new singleplayer IP and a relatively short one at, many gamers have missed out on a memorable experience.
One Piece is one of the long running manga/anime whose games often get overlooked. It’s easy to see why. Like movie tie-in games they get a bad wrap often seen as cash grabs. Returning to the Unlimited series of games, will this port from the 3DS be as strong as the Dynasty Warriors inspired Pirate Warriors 2?
