Well this game took a long time to come overseas. News of this bizarre crossover began in 2010 when it was announced. It was finally released in Japan in 2012 and fans of both series bellowed to have it localized. In a common move by both companies, Capcom and Nintendo were initially hesitant for localization of the game due to the risk of low sales. Two years after its initial Japanese release and 5 months before the North American release, Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was finally localized. Fans overseas can finally enjoy the puzzle solving finger-pointing adventure.
The great yet overlooked Devil May Cry Reboot is having a second chances on the next-gen consoles. DmC Definitive Edition will come with all the DLC from the game plus several new modes and gameplay adjustments.
At the end of the trailer there was a brief announcement of Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Not much was shown other than the title but Vergil was the one to make the announcement. This will probably be reminiscent of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition where Vergil was added as a new playable character.
Exciting stuff for Devil May Cry fans and great action games for gamers looking for alternative game on their consoles that aren’t shooters. DmC Definitive edition is set for release March 17, 2015 and Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is slated for Summer 2015.
Remember Me was a new IP from Capcom in 2013. It’s a cyberpunk game with that has an interesting spin on the action brawler genre. Probably overlooked for it being a new singleplayer IP and a relatively short one at, many gamers have missed out on a memorable experience.
There was a lot of flack when the reboot to Devil May Cry was announced mainly due to Dante’s new look. Ninja Theory the team responsible for Heavenly Sword and Enslaved Odyssey to the West has taken the reigns of the beloved demon hunting series. They have added a lot of western influence in an attempt to modernize the game’s gothic feel. Has Capcom’s risk paid off or should they have left everything alone.
Resident Evil is back again more ambitious than ever. There are more characters and intersecting stories lines as well as brining names and faces from the past. Does one of our oldest zombie killing games deliver or should this have stayed dead.
Early this week the Resident Evil 6 demo was released on the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. It’s very uncharacteristic of Capcom to release demos but take it as gift to try out their next big title. Have they changed up the formula or will we see another clone of Resident Evil 4.
