As stated this is the first Nintendo Direct since the passing of Satoru Iwata President and CEO of Nintendo. This Nintendo Direct marks off the end of this year and the first half of next year with a strong and health lineup of new games, sequels, remakes, amiibos and surprises. Love them or hate them, there’s something here for everyone.
Microsoft was always done well for itself with its Xbox brand but it’s hard to deny that they haven’t started on the best foot with the Xbox One. What do they need to do to win customer favor again and can they do it with this press conference?
What else is there to say about Arkham Knight at this point. I just want it to come out but this new gameplay trailer is showing off more of the Batmobile. This is probably the most versatile Batmobile that I’ve seen. When engaged in the massive tank shoot out it can track the trajectory of enemy fire and drive in all directions like a helicopter. Best of all, it can do donuts.
Dragon’s Crown is brought to you by Vanillaware and Atlus, one of the kings of niche JRPGs. The game draws elements from games like Gauntlet Legends and the arcade versions of Dungeons and Dragons as well the RPG elements of Boarderlands. They take familiar elements and create a new beat-em up experience. Does this old, almost forgotten genre stand strong?
There seems to be a bit of retro reviving happening in gaming. Sega has been re-releasing old Dreamcast games on PSN and XBLA while WayForward has been re-imagining old classics for the new generation.
