Microsoft was always done well for itself with its Xbox brand but it’s hard to deny that they haven’t started on the best foot with the Xbox One. What do they need to do to win customer favor again and can they do it with this press conference?
As a once supporter and believer in the 2K sports franchise, I had high hopes from NBA 2K13 to build off from last years version to fix heavenly on the gameplay animations and stop with the gimmicks. I remember first playing NBA 2K9 when Kevin Garnett was the cover, the first game of yearly releases and thought this game has potential; just tweak the gameplay. So year after year with 2K10, 2K11 and 2K12 the gameplay has yet be tweaked My frustration just continued to build as I stuck with the sports franchise just hoping the gameplay polish can be fixed. The moment I picked up NBA 2K13 I’m thinking this could be it, the gameplay has to be refined by now, it’s been 4 years playing these series of basketball games. After playing 11 games of online play to see if anything has changed, I put my foot my down and will not play another basketball game made by 2K Sports. My reasons will be justified for someone who’s now a faded optimist.
The biggest event annually for gamers and game developers congregate in Los Angeles. E3 or Electronic Entertainment Expo is a gamer’s paradise to witness exclusive game trailers, demos, big announcements of well-known game developers and anticipating release dates of games coming later in the year and in 2013. I will be giving a thorough scope of E3 2012’s press conferences from Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Sony and Nintendo. And any surprising titles due for release later this year and next year of 2013. Without furtheradew here we go!
The return of SSX has many fans including myself pumped of a revival which has been waiting for the franchises ascension upon the PlayStation 3’s debut of 2007. As an arcade, non-realistic snowboarding game it exemplifies super-decked out tricks of crazy hang time, long duration of grinding on rails, knocking down your opponents using the analog stick, and unlocking better boards to improving the perks of speed and tricks. With SSX’s roots going deep beyond ten years with a great predecessor in SSX Tricky, does SSX Deadly Descents return prove to be triumphant or a downhill avalanche of pain? Continue reading →
Not a full day passed since I put up my review of Mass Effect 3 Bioware has finally responded to the fans concerning the ending. Some time this summer there will be free DLC currently called Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut. This will add closure to the existing endings. They are NOT adding or changing the endings.
While this won’t make everyone happy an epilogue was something that at least I feel that is necessary. I doubt that there will be playable content but I am curious about the variations that well will see. Whether Bioware has been planning this from the start or whether this is a response to the outcry hopefully this will but out some of these flames.
The conclusion to Commander Shepard’s battle against the Reapers has finally begun. For the past five years Bioware has set the groundwork for the choices you’ve made. Will your decisions come and stab you in the back or will everything change as a result?
First thing’s first EA is having a promotion where playing the demo of Kingdoms of Amalur then you receive bonus content for Mass Effect 3 and vice versa when the Mass Effect demo is released. This is the only reason why I’m aware and playing the demo. To be honest this is a cleaver marketing move for a game that’s probably unknown to most.
