Jason Voorhees has become the latest horror movie icon to become a playable character for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. Freddy Krueger has a quick character with a lot of tools in Mortal Kombat 9. I wonder if Jason will have the same level of threat. Continue reading →
Two new DLC characters among other DLC and one stage have been released for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Kat (Gravity Rush) and Emmet Graves (Starhawk) will be free for the two weeks for all PlayStation users. Having played the two characters to some extent I am going to give you my thoughts and some tips on how you should approach the two.
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale has been getting a lot of heat from fans because of how similar it looks to Super Smash Bros. Personally, I think the title could use a little work. Despite of what you might think the differences make it stand out from Smash more than you may think. The real question is that has Sony pulled it off.
The beta for PlayStation All-Stars is now available for PlayStation Plus users for the next two weeks. I have had the chance to play All-Stars at FanExpo Canada. Even after watching gameplay videos and playing the game without having the time to sit down I really didn’t understand what was happening. Oddly there are less characters available in the beta than the build I played in the summer but what the heck. The Beta contains online matches with a three-minute four player Free for All settings.
This past weekend I attended FanExpo Canada in Toronto. On top of seeing celebrities and spending more money than I’m willing to admit I had the opportunity to play some upcoming games. Sony, Ubisoft, Warner Bros, Bungie and EA had a presence at the expo. Most of the games at FanExpo appeared to be the E3 builds. While I didn’t have a chance to play each title, I did play some highly anticipated games.
The biggest event annually for gamers and game developers congregate in Los Angeles. E3 or Electronic Entertainment Expo is a gamer’s paradise to witness exclusive game trailers, demos, big announcements of well-known game developers and anticipating release dates of games coming later in the year and in 2013. I will be giving a thorough scope of E3 2012’s press conferences from Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Sony and Nintendo. And any surprising titles due for release later this year and next year of 2013. Without furtheradew here we go!
The latest batch DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 has just been released on PSN and XBLA. The first is “Snow: Perpetual Battlefield” a piece of Story DLC and another Colosseum battle. The second is “Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess”. I didn’t buy Snow’s DLC but Lightning’s is the more interesting of the two because it elaborates on the cliffhanger ending of XIII-2. The DLC is $5/400 Microsoft points but is it really worth it?
